Cut a 5/8-inch-thick sheet of drywall to the size of the missing panel. With an assistant, lift the drywall into place. Screw the drywall onto the joists with a cordless drill and drywall screws. Space the screws every 7 to 8 inches along the edges and every 12 inches in the field (or center area).
Generally, you can repair a hot tub cover if the damage is not extensive. A small tear on the seam can be fixed with a vinyl patch. A hole in the vapor barrier can be repaired with a polythene patch or duct tape as a quick fix. If you notice that the cover is waterlogged, let it completely dry and fix the area that is damaged.
Using a degreaser of some kind, lightly scrub around the punctured area and then wipe the product off with a paper towel. Once dry, take one of the repair patches and cover it with the provided glue. Stick the patch down over the puncture, press, and leave it for a couple of hours so that it dries.
